Thank you for choosing Crooked Landing to host you for your upcoming visit to Northern Michigan! We appreciate all of our guests and make every effort to make your vacation memorable. We strive to provide for our guests one of the premier properties in all of Northern Michigan. In this page we hope to help you to plan your trip and answer any questions you may have such as: What should I bring? What is there to do? How do I operate the home? etc... We put this page together for a simple one stop place for you and all members of your group to access to help plan your trip. Please let us know if you have questions not covered on this page. House Rules
We want all of our guests to have a great vacation. We do have some basic house rules we ask all guests to follow. This protects not only our guests but ensures the property is at its best for each group that visits.
Driving Directions
The Address for Crooked Landing is 3734 Oden Rd, Alanson Mi, 49706. You can also find us on google maps by searching Crooked Landing, Alanson, MI. There is a fence along the highway in front of the property with our logo on a sign by the entrance.

Boating Crooked Lake / Inland Waterway

Do you plan on Bringing a Boat or Renting a boat during your visit? This is where we try to answer any questions you may have. If you are looking for a pontoon or waverunner rental, check out Windjammer Marina. Windjammer is located within walking distance to the property. Our dock has space for up to two boats. The boat lift at the dock is not for guest use. The waterdepth at the dock averages 30".
We have firewood delivery to keep firewood at the property for your stay. To prevent the introduction of non-native invasive insects, firewood from outside the area is not allowed. We have firewood available on site for purchase. FIrewood is $50 for a week stay and $30 for weekend. Click the picture above to purchase. Firewood can be purchasaed locally from gas stations for around $8 per bundle. While you can purchase when you arrive, purchasing before your arrival will ensure the wood is on site.
Provided Amenities
The house will be well equipped for your stay. Take a look at our list of what is at the property. We provide "starters" for many items such as laundry pods. A starter for most items is more than 1 and in some cases it is several. Please plan and pack accordingly for various items you may need.

All good things must come to an end. This link will take you to our departure checklist. This ensures our house cleaner can get the property ready for our next guests.
Kayaks / Paddle Board Yard Games
There are 2 Kayaks and 1 Paddle board available for guests to use. All items are located in the storage shed to the right of the garage. The access door is located in the mulched area. Please return items before departure.
Water / AC and Heat
Crooked Landing Has a mini split heat pump system for Heating and cooling along with radiant heat. Additionally a unique feature of the property is the water comes from an Artesian Spring. Please review for important information during your stay.
House Water Refill
As Mentioned in other sections on the website, the house gets its water from an Artesian Spring. These are the instructions on what to do in the unlikely event you run out of water.
Grocery Delivery Service
Grocery Delivery is available at Crooked Landing. Visit www.stocked-up.com to schedule grocery delivery for your vacation. You can schedule delivery to come before you arrival. Note: If you schedule your grocery delivery for your arrival day, please let us know. We will need to coordinate with the house cleaner and stocked to make sure they can have the Kitchen ready for your items.
Sailing Lessons
Crooked Landing is neighbors with the Crooked Lake Yacht Club, which is home to the Crooked Lake Sailors. Crooke Lake Sailors offers sailing classes for all ages. Information can be found by clicking HERE. If you don't see any options that work for you be sure to give them a call and they will be able to help.

Damage Waiver
A $1500 Damage waiver was a part of your reservation. This covers up to $1500 in any damage that happens while you stay. Example, broken glasses, stains etc... Please let us know ASAP of any damage so we can get it fixed immediately.
